About The Position

Elder is a UK live-in and visiting care introductory agency that matches self-employed carers with older people, enabling them to remain in their own homes. Approximately 500 families utilize Elder's services at any given time, facilitating around 14,000 days of care monthly. Elder operates as an introductory agency, not a regulated care provider, with carers contracting directly with customers. The company handles vetting, matching, and support for both parties. The Safety and Trust team ensures carers are thoroughly checked, standards are consistently applied, and concerns are addressed promptly. This role is specifically for the non-clinical aspects of compliance administration, standards casework, and assurance reporting, offering significant autonomy within the team. The position reports to the Head of Safety and Trust, who has a background in regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Two to four years in a compliance or vetting role: pre-engagement checks, document verification, right to work, DBS or equivalent, renewal cycles.
  • Experience working a case queue to a service-level agreement in a CRM or ticketing system.
  • Accuracy under volume, and a record you can evidence to an auditor.
  • Level 3 safeguarding adults, or a commitment to complete it within three months of joining.
  • Working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and how a concern reaches a local authority.
  • The judgement to escalate rather than improvise when a case falls outside the written rule.
  • Clear written English, discretion with sensitive personal information, and a working grasp of UK GDPR.

Nice To Haves

  • Keep the compliance record permanently audit-ready.
  • Handle day-to-day training access and system queries.
  • Run carer standards cases from start to finish, including those raised when a carer leaves a placement early.
  • Act as first line on satisfaction feedback, care profile reviews and carer queries, escalating against agreed triggers.
  • Establish the facts, apply the framework, record the outcome, and escalate what meets the criteria.
  • Produce the weekly pack: volumes, service-level performance, escalation rates and outstanding compliance items.
  • Run a monthly consistency check on a sample of closed cases.
  • Flag where recurring admin could be automated, templated or made self-serve, and make the case with queue data.
