About The Position

Join our compassionate and dedicated team as a Compliance and Privacy Officer (CPO), where you will play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity and compliance of our organization. Your expertise will directly contribute to ensuring adherence to federal and state laws, including HIPAA, while fostering a culture of ethical conduct. In this essential role, you will collaborate with leadership, promote best practices, and support the mission of helping others through your commitment to compliance. As a CPO, you will ensure that our compliance and privacy program operates effectively within assigned markets, providing a trusted resource to staff and leadership alike.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory compliance, or a related field; OR Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in behavioral health or social services is preferred.
• Prior experience supporting compliance investigations, audits, or monitoring activities is preferred.
• Professional compliance or privacy certification (e.g., CHC, CHPC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with market leadership to implement and maintain the enterprise compliance and privacy program within an assigned market.
• Serve as the primary compliance and privacy resource for the assigned market.
• Monitor completion of onboarding and annual compliance and privacy education and training to staff and leadership.
• Provide compliance training for staff and leadership as necessary.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the market’s adherence to enterprise policies, procedures, and standards.
• Receive and investigate compliance, integrity, and privacy concerns in a timely manner.
• Prepare timely, comprehensive written investigation reports documenting facts, analysis, root cause, and applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
