About The Position

This position involves independently conducting compliance reviews across various systems such as UFIRST, myassets, and myIRB. The role requires verifying the completeness and compliance of submissions with agency and UF policies, using knowledge of applicable regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing compliance submissions, confirming requirements like training completion and UF roles, and approving administrative changes to submissions. The analyst will also review, analyze, and approve changes to compliance documentation, conduct risk mitigation reviews, and report compliance issues to the appropriate committees or offices, while maintaining confidentiality and privacy. The role requires staying updated on applicable regulations for one compliance program, participating in trainings, and understanding UF Research contracting, award negotiation, financial management, 2 CFR 200, export controls, and global engagement regulations. The analyst will assist faculty, staff, and researchers with compliance and serve as a campus resource for compliance questions. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining compliance records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and preparing risk mitigation plans and other documents for review and approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct compliance reviews in a variety of systems including UFIRST, myassets, myIRB and others.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations to verify that submissions are complete and comply with agency and UF polices.
  • Review compliance submissions and confirm compliance requirements (such as training completion, UF role and other considerations) are met.
  • Approve administrative changes to submissions such as personnel changes, title changes and other administrative approvals as appropriate for the office.
  • Review, analyze and approve changes to compliance documentation such as management plans, protocols, or other documents.
  • Conduct and coordinate required risk mitigation reviews of compliance activities.
  • Report compliance issues to the applicable compliance committee or office, as appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality/ privacy.
  • Maintain awareness and an understanding of applicable regulations related to one compliance program and participate in trainings and meetings.
  • Maintain a familiarity with UF Research contracting, award negotiation and financial management, including an understanding of 2 CFR 200.
  • Maintain an understanding of regulations governing export controls and global engagement.
  • Assist faculty, staff and researchers in complying with UF policies, serving as a resource to campus for basic compliance questions and inquiries.
  • Responsible for independently maintaining compliance records including case files, logs and compliance calendars, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and write documents, including risk mitigation plans using approved templates and route for review and approval by manager.
  • Route documents for signature by department and UFR leadership.
