This role is responsible for all aspects of the effective management of the restaurant and food court operation within a casino environment. The manager will achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing positive change. The position also involves enhancing the department and overall business reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value. Fostering teamwork is crucial, as the manager will lead, direct, mentor, and guide assistant managers, supervisors, and team members. They will actively coach, counsel, direct, train, and mentor team members in meeting company standards and oversee all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment. The role requires maintaining ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement, and monitoring food presentation and service. Ensuring total compliance with all alcohol service policies and immediately addressing any alcohol service or compliance issues is essential. Profitability will be maximized by ensuring portion control. The manager will monitor food handling, cash handling, and work safety compliance, as well as product quality to ensure a high level of guest service. The ability to prep and cook all menu items when needed is required. Ensuring Point of Sale Systems (POS) are in working order and auditing for accuracy of Payment Card (PCI) compliance, charges, and cash handling procedures is also a key responsibility. Protecting branded concepts through audits and compliance processes is necessary. The position requires a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness. The manager will be responsible for mentoring and developing Pathways Mentorship Program participants to successfully transition to management levels. Other special projects and duties as assigned will also be performed.
