About The Position

Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Complex Bridge Design Specialist to be an integral part of our team in Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; OR Chicago, IL. This role will be responsible for leading and managing the bridge designs for a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Western United States. We are looking for experience with plan, specification, and estimate packages as well as load rating experience. Your expertise will be essential in solving technical problems, mentoring junior staff, and stewarding solutions through the delivery process. If you are a passionate, experienced bridge engineer looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply for this role at Collins. Join our team and help us shape the future of bridge design and construction. This is not your typical structural engineering assignment. We are seeking an engineer to join a once-in-a-career project involving the inspection, modeling, and structural analysis of a landmark suspension bridge supporting a natural gas pipeline crossing the Colorado River that delivers approximately 25% of between Southern California and Arizona's natural gas supply. The project will require advanced structural modeling and evaluation of existing and future loading scenarios. You will help assess the feasibility of adding inspection access walkways and additional pipeline capacity to a critical piece of energy infrastructure. If you are looking for a technically challenging project with real-world impact and the opportunity to work on a structure few engineers will ever encounter, this role is for you.
