This position is responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. It also involves assisting with NBIS structural inspections and field investigations. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general engineering principles and practices
• Ability to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments
• Familiarity with NBIS structural inspections and field investigations
• Proficiency in design software and drawing tools
• Ability to develop project quantities for construction cost estimates
• Ability to prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction
• Ability to develop reports for structural inspections/field investigations
• Strong coordination skills to ensure project completion by deadlines and established quality

Responsibilities

• Prepares/performs and checks structural analysis, design plans, specifications, and estimates for bridge projects while working collaboratively with multi-discipline design teams
• Perform design computations
• Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
• Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
• Assistant for structural inspections/field investigations and develop related reports
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
• Perform other related duties as assigned
