About The Position

The Complex Banquet Manager is a hands-on, execution-focused leader responsible for delivering exceptional banquet and event experiences across Sable at Navy Pier, Offshore Rooftop, and Lirica. This role operates with a Director-level ownership mindset, taking full accountability for banquet execution, service standards, and team performance across all venues. Partnering closely with the Complex Director of Food & Beverage, this leader drives operational excellence, ensures consistency, and continuously elevates service standards. While primarily focused on banquet operations, this role is intentionally cross-functional, supporting broader restaurant and outlet operations as needed to ensure seamless execution, strong leadership coverage, and an elevated guest experience across the property.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of banquet or food & beverage leadership experience in a high-volume, upscale, or lifestyle environment
  • Proven ability to lead across multiple venues with a strong ownership mindset
  • Deep understanding of banquet operations, event execution, and restaurant service
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive accountability and results
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-driven
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of day-to-day banquet operations across all venues, ensuring flawless execution from set-up through breakdown
  • Operate as the on-property leader for all banquet functions, driving accountability, urgency, and results
  • Partner with the Complex Director of Food & Beverage to align on strategy, staffing, and service expectations
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery across Offshore Rooftop, Lirica, and Sable banquet spaces
  • Set the standard for a high-touch, elevated guest experience across all events
  • Actively elevate service through leadership presence, coaching, and real-time execution
  • Anticipate guest needs and lead service recovery with confidence and urgency
  • Build strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business and brand loyalty
  • Lead, coach, and hold banquet team members accountable to performance and service standards
  • Build a culture of ownership, urgency, and execution within the team
  • Support staffing, scheduling, and labor management aligned with business needs
  • Develop talent and reinforce a service-first, results-driven mindset
  • Ensure all events are executed with precision, attention to detail, and operational discipline
  • Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and brand standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Maintain readiness across all banquet spaces, including equipment, setup, and staffing
  • Provide leadership coverage across Offshore, Lirica, and Sable outlets as needed
  • Step in to support restaurant operations during peak periods or leadership gaps
  • Contribute to broader F&B initiatives, activations, and high-volume service periods
  • Drive revenue through upselling, event enhancement, and strong execution
  • Manage labor and operational costs while maintaining elevated service standards
  • Take ownership of banquet performance, contributing to overall financial and guest satisfaction goals
