The Compensation Consultant serves as a subject matter expert to HR Business Partners and department leaders, presenting findings and recommendations on compensation assessments and pay equity reviews. This role collaborates with Talent Management and HRIS to ensure data integrity and system alignment. The consultant conducts job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity analyses, while also developing and maintaining salary structures, merit matrices, and incentive models. They support compensation planning cycles, including annual merit and bonus programs, and partner with HR leadership to align performance metrics with compensation outcomes. Additionally, the consultant provides consultation on performance calibration, goal setting, and rating distributions, analyzes performance data to identify trends and recommend program enhancements, and ensures compensation practices comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supporting audits, internal reviews, and documentation of compensation decisions, contributing to the development of dashboards and KPIs, and participating in cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and enhance employee experience. The position requires adherence to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding of University assets.
