About The Position
A leading international law firm is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising public and private companies on sophisticated executive compensation, employee benefits, M&A, securities, and IPO-related matters.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience
- Experience with equity compensation and executive compensation arrangements
- Experience with employment, retention, and severance agreements
- Familiarity with proxy disclosures and public company compensation matters
- Experience supporting mergers & acquisitions transactions and IPOs
- Strong knowledge of IRC Sections 280G and 409A
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
