About The Position

This position is responsible for the administration and compliance oversight of physician compensation agreements, provider and non-provider contracts, leases, and vendor agreements. The role supports contract lifecycle management including initiation, renewal, execution, and Fair Market Value analysis, while ensuring compensation and payments are processed in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively with Legal, Decision Support, Compliance, and leadership to ensure adherence to organizational policies, FMV guidelines, and audit standards. Oversees contract tracking systems, supports onboarding and training related to provider compensation, and manages research and student affiliation agreements. Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, including the ability to analyze data and prepare professional reports and presentations.

  • Ability to integrate financial analysis with an understanding of clinical and operational healthcare environments.

  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare contract administration, provider compensation, compliance, or related function.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and directly related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the physician contracting process using electronic contract software, including initiating new contracts, completing Fair Market Value (FMV) analyses, reviewing contract drafts for accuracy and legal compliance, managing negotiations, and ensuring timely execution of signatures.
  • Manage the contract renewal process, including timely notifications of renewals, amendments, and non-renewals.
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly contract renewal meetings with Leadership, Legal, and Corporate Compliance.
  • Complete quarterly Corporate Compliance audits related to provider contracts and leases.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee a comprehensive database tracking contract expirations, renewals, amendments, and compensation terms for all provider agreements.
  • Ensure compliance for contracts with administrative stipends, including oversight of required time-monitoring documentation per policy.
  • Calculate and process contractual payments, including bonuses, PRN services, shift differentials, and administrative stipends.
  • Routinely audit physician compensation practices to ensure compliance with contractual terms, including pay rates, incentives, stipends, and expense reimbursements.
  • Monitor physician compensation arrangements to ensure compliance with FMV guidelines, utilizing available benchmarking data.
  • Serve as the liaison for expense support and training system.
  • Implement, maintain, and ensure compliance for non-provider contracts, including property leases, session leases, Research Agreements, and Student Affiliation Agreements.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, and tracking of Research Agreements and Student Affiliation Agreements, including key terms, renewal dates, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate actively in provider onboarding and serve as a resource for training managers and supervisors involved in provider compensation processing.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to organizational policies, legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and evolving compliance regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.
