About The Position

Orrick’s Compensation & Benefits practice is seeking a compensation and benefits associate with two to four years of experience focused on the compensation and benefits aspects of complex corporate transactions and day-to-day counseling of emerging growth companies. The practice ideally seeks candidates with experience and/or a desire to work with growth-stage technology and life sciences companies and investors. Experience advising on qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans is a plus but not required. Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent academic credentials along with superior oral and written communication, logical reasoning, research, and organizational skills. Our Compensation & Benefits group advises clients on a wide range of compensation and benefits matters impacting both public companies and innovative high-growth businesses and their investors. We are recognized for our single-point-of-contact approach, proactive counsel, and seamless collaboration with client teams.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience focused on the compensation and benefits aspects of complex corporate transactions and day-to-day counseling of emerging growth companies.
  • Experience at a peer law firm.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar of the office of the state in which the candidate expects to be located is required.
