About The Position

The Compensation Analyst I supports the administration and analysis of compensation programs designed to attract, retain, and motivate employees. This entry-level role assists with market pricing, data analysis, and compensation processes such as annual pay reviews, job evaluations, and incentive programs. Working under guidance, the Compensation Analyst I partners with HR Business Partners, managers, and senior compensation team members to help ensure pay practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build foundational knowledge in compensation within a fast-paced, growing organization. The analyst will gain exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) and emerging tools such as automation, RPA, and basic data analytics, with opportunities to develop these skills over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or related field or 4 years of HR Analyst experience in lieu of degree.
  • 0–2 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related field.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with integrity and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to perform advanced functions (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation management tools (e.g., Workday, iCIMS).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or certification in compensation, people analytics, HR analytics (e.g., WorldatWork, AIHR)
  • Experience in manufacturing or high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated curiosity or exposure to automation, RPA, predictive analytics, AI, or process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of compensation actions such as offers, promotions, and pay adjustments through HR systems.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining job profiles to ensure accurate role documentation.
  • Support the matching of internal roles to external market data under guidance.
  • Help maintain compensation databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare basic reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for HR and business leaders.
  • Provide support for the annual compensation review process (e.g., data preparation, validation, reporting).
  • Assist with data analysis to support hiring, promotions, and pay decisions.
  • Learn how to assess pay competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn tools such as Excel automation, basic analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives within the compensation function.
  • Support the development of materials to help educate HR and managers on compensation processes.
  • Learn and apply compensation fundamentals, policies, and best practices.
  • Respond to routine compensation-related questions from HR Business Partners and managers.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of compensation activities.
  • Assist with audits and data validation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support job evaluation and classification processes, including FLSA review, under supervision.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion.
