About The Position

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the Company’s compensation plan processes for the entire company. This role administers compensation cycles for the entire company, including domestic and international operations. The analyst will assist in planning and directing the company’s compensation program, conduct market pricing for corporate positions, and ensure integrity with the company’s salary structure. Additionally, the role oversees the company’s bonus and incentive compensation award process, coordinates expatriate compensation reporting, and prepares annual executive and director compensation reports and analyses. The Compensation Analyst also administers the Company’s incentive plans, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan. Participation in compensation surveys and review of survey results are key responsibilities, as is answering employee questions regarding compensation plans. The role involves reviewing annual schedules and financial statements for the 401k plan, Puerto Rico profit sharing plan, and health & welfare plan, ensuring timely filing of 5500s. Assistance with the preparation of the company’s proxy statement, 10-Q and 10-K disclosures for executive compensation and FAS123R compliance is also required. The analyst will review all communications to employees relative to compensation for compliance with laws and regulations and may develop and conduct training presentations on compensation. Finally, the role prepares analysis for executive management pertaining to the company’s compensation programs and performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or other business related field.
  • Five years of experience in a business environment with increasing responsibility.
  • Excellent problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language-fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, Internet Services, and various office equipment (fax, printer, telephone and copier).
  • Ability to get along well with others.
  • Must be willing to board and ride vessels to increase understanding of how this role supports our business.

Responsibilities

  • Administers compensation cycles for the entire company, including domestic and international

  • Answers employee questions on company compensation plans and provides additional requested information to employees
  • Reviews annual schedules and financial statements for the 401k plan, Puerto Rico profit sharing plan and the health & welfare plan; and ensures the 5500s are filed in a timely manner
  • Assists with the preparation of the company’s proxy statement, 10-Q and 10-K disclosures for executive compensation and FAS123R compliance

  • May develop and conduct training presentations for company’s employees on their compensation
