About The Position

The Company Store Manager is responsible for managing the general store and inventory, including researching vendors, maintaining an appealing inventory, ensuring a clean store atmosphere, and preparing various reports. This role also involves managing the online store, creating new designs, ordering orientation and custom items, and handling order fulfillment. Additionally, the manager will support the accounting department with tasks like ordering office supplies, processing payables, and assisting with licenses and permits. The position requires a minimum of two years of customer service or retail experience, a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of customer service or retail experience.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Organized and detail focused, able to balance multiple projects at once.
  • Must be able to provide a positive customer experience and build great working relationships with co-workers.
  • Must be able to work independently and have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in transportation a plus.
  • Additional education or training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Research vendors for the best quality merchandise at the lowest cost.
  • Maintain an inventory that interests drivers and other personnel, providing items employees/drivers want and will purchase to prevent stale stock.
  • Maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere in the store.
  • Provide supervisor quarterly inventory counts.
  • Prepare monthly tax reports.
  • Prepare deposits for cash sales weekly.
  • Provide weekly reports to payroll for driver deductions.
  • Provide Bi-Weekly reports to payroll for office deductions.
  • Create new designs/styles to keep inventory fresh.
  • Order and make all orientation shirts.
  • Order and make all custom orders.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases and sales.
  • Check in orders upon receipt to ensure accuracy of invoice and send to accounts payable for disbursement of payment.
  • Place merchandise on the floor and on the website for prompt sales.
  • Manage the online store and work with the media team to advertise items via social media monthly.
  • Package orders for shipping to customers, when ordered via phone, website or anything requiring special handling such as additional monogramming or not in stock at time of order.
  • Order office supplies for all terminals – making sure to get the best rates.
  • Reconcile the monthly office supply statement to ensure departments are billed accurately.
  • Create shipping labels for all departments when needed.
  • Manage all incoming shipments, making sure items delivered are secured and owners are notified.
  • Research novelties for other departments for giveaways.
  • Help with United Way, Driver Appreciation Week, Ambassador events and company picnics.
  • Assist Payroll with reimbursements.
  • Assist with keying payables.
  • Assist with license and permits.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
