About The Position

Freedom Pointe at The Villages is seeking a compassionate, dependable Private Duty Companion to provide support to seniors. Clients may live on campus or in their own homes off campus. The role involves helping with daily activities and offering companionship, comfort, dignity, and encouragement.

The position may include assisting with errands, shopping, light housekeeping such as laundry and tidying, pet care, transportation, and home organization. Experience is preferred but not required, and on-the-job training is available. Companions should be able to follow care instructions, document services accurately, and work independently while treating residents with compassion and respect.

Employees may be recognized through monthly awards, engagement activities, and appreciation events. Background screening is conducted through the Agency for Healthcare Administration. Some roles may require the employer to ask about vaccination status.

Requirements

• Experience is preferred but not required; training is available.
• Ability to read and follow care instructions.
• Ability to accurately document services provided.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to residents and their individual needs.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
