About The Position

Freedom Pointe at The Villages is hiring a Private Duty Companion to support seniors and help bring comfort, dignity, and joy to residents. Companions may assist clients who live on campus or in their own homes off campus. The position involves helping with daily activities, providing companionship, and carrying out a variety of supportive household and community tasks.

The role offers flexible scheduling and on-the-job training. Candidates should be compassionate, dependable, respectful, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Experience is preferred but not required. A current CPR certification is required or must be obtained upon hire. The employer conducts background checks through the Agency for Healthcare Administration. Some roles in the community may require disclosure of vaccination status.

Requirements

• Experience is preferred but not required; training is available for the right candidate.
• Ability to read and follow care instructions and accurately document services provided.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to residents and their individual needs.
• Current CPR certification or certification upon hire.
