Requirements
- Must have a recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Strong cooking skills are essential.
Nice To Haves
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and social/emotional support to clients and their families
- Sharing experiences
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, grocery store and errands, recreational and /or social events
- Preparing a variety of healthy, home-cooked meals
- Assisting clients with plans for visits and outings
- Organizing and reading mail
- Teaching/performing meal planning and preparation
- Performing light housekeeping
- Accompanying client on walks
- Reminding clients to take medication
