Companion/Caregiver
About The Position
This is an opportunity for a compassionate provider to support an adult member in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, in maintaining independence and remaining in his home. The caregiver will assist a nonverbal man with Autism, accompany him into the community and to church, and communicate reliably with his adult home supervisor and guardian. The schedule is Thursdays or Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus Sundays for 5–6 hours in the morning for church. Compensation is $16.32–$19 per hour, based on experience, with mileage reimbursement. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting.
Requirements
- Background experience working with adults with Autism.
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation to take the client out.
- Complete a background check before hire.

Responsibilities
- Provide stand-by assistance for balance.
- Assist with wiping and pull-up changes.
- Accompany the client shopping, to church, and to his mother's house.
- Communicate reliably with the adult home supervisor and guardian.
