Companion Caregiver
About The Position
K&K Healthcare Systems is seeking a Companion Caregiver to improve the quality of life of seniors and people with disabilities. The caregiver supports clients with personal care, medication, mobility, meals, household tasks, errands, and companionship, while helping maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. The role is part-time, scheduled for three hours per day, three days per week, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Compensation is $14.00 per hour. K&K Healthcare Systems provides private home care and other healthcare staffing services for people who are medically frail or medically compromised due to disease, injury, disability, or advanced age. The company also provides staff to hospitals, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, doctors’ offices, and child and adult day care centers.
Requirements
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Tolerance of small pets.
- Compassionate, respectful, and ethical conduct.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a similar role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Assist with personal hygiene and dressing.
- Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises.
- Prepare meals and snacks.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Dispense medication.
- Assist with errands and shopping.
- Educate family members on safe care techniques.
