About The Position

Caring Transitions of Parsippany is seeking several friendly, outgoing Community Transition Ambassadors to help educate older adults and their families throughout Morris County and surrounding communities. This opportunity is especially well suited for retired and semi-retired professionals who are looking for meaningful work, flexible hours, and the opportunity to stay engaged in their community while earning supplemental income. Many of the families we serve are navigating retirement, downsizing, or a move to a new chapter in life. We believe there is tremendous value in having compassionate individuals who can relate to those experiences and serve as trusted peers and community resources. This isn't a traditional sales position. Instead, you'll represent Caring Transitions as a trusted local resource, helping people understand their options when downsizing, relocating, managing an estate, or preparing for life's next chapter. Your role is to educate, build relationships, and connect families with the support they need.

Requirements

• Retired or semi-retired—or simply passionate about serving older adults.
• Enjoy meeting new people and speaking with small groups.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Active in their community, church, volunteer organization, club, or senior living community.
• Want flexible, meaningful work.
• Enjoy helping others.
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate.
• Comfortable networking and public speaking.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in education, healthcare, real estate, customer service, nonprofit organizations, social work, community leadership, or volunteer service is welcomed—but not required.

Responsibilities

• Presenting educational programs at libraries, senior centers, churches, civic organizations, retirement communities, and community organizations.
• Building relationships with local organizations serving older adults and their families.
• Representing Caring Transitions at community events and select networking opportunities.
• Answering questions and providing helpful resources.
• Introducing families to Caring Transitions when our services may be beneficial.
• Helping expand our reputation as a trusted community resource.
