About The Position
Lionsgate Academy Charter School is hiring a Community Support Para for its school transition program serving students on the autism spectrum. The position supports students at job sites and transports students in school vans. The schedule is 8 hours per day, 7:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m., for 9 months per year, with summers off. It is a day-shift position with no nights or weekends. The school partners with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport students via school vehicle. Applicants must have three or fewer moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past five years.
Nice To Haves
- A two-year degree, at least 60 college credits, or successful completion of the ParaPro exam.
- Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low-incidence disabilities.
- One year of previous experience in a high school setting or transition program.
- Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps.
