About The Position
Muskegon Public Schools is hiring a Para Educator at Muskegon High School for the 2026/2027 academic year. The position is classified as MCCAA and reports to the Building Principal or Designee. The starting hourly rate is $19.67, with a schedule of 35 hours per week and 185 days per year. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience and follows the MPS salary schedule. Requirements
- An associate degree or higher, including related college coursework; or completion of 60 semester hours; or a minimum score of 460 on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment.
- Obtain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification within two district training opportunities provided from the hire date.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 60 days of the hire date.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and criminal records background check.
