About The Position

Community Support Associate (Adults) (KRCC – Skyview/Perry County) at Kentucky River Community Care/Perry County/Chavies, KY. This is a full-time position focused on teaching skills to adults with Serious Mental Illness, assisting them in living independently in the community, and documenting client activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 (one) year full-time working with individuals who receive treatment services for treatment of a mental health/co-occurring disorder.
• Interpersonal and written communication skills
• Computer skills
• Organized
• Dependable

Responsibilities

• Teaching skills to adults with Serious Mental Illness including daily living activities, crisis coping, emotional regulation, and medication side effects.
• Document activities with clients in the electronic medical record.
• Complete all assigned work in a timely manner including required continuing education courses.
• Assist individuals to live with maximum independence in the community.
• Assist individuals to take medications, monitor symptoms, and monitor side effects of medication.
• Teach individuals skills for living in the community, budgeting money, and keeping the home safe and clean.
• Assist clients with transportation to appointments
