The Community Supervision Officer (CSO) for Smith County CSCD provides professional supervision and case management services to individuals placed on community supervision. This position is responsible for monitoring compliance with court-ordered conditions, maintaining accurate case documentation, assessing and addressing client needs, and ensuring timely communication and follow-up. The CSO works closely with the courts, attorneys, treatment providers, law enforcement, and other agencies to promote accountability, public safety, and successful completion of community supervision. Case supervision must be conducted in a manner consistent with Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Community Justice Assistance Division (TDCJ-CJAD) standards, department policy, and the directives of the Court.
