About The Position

This role serves as a primary community standards coordinator responsible for addressing potential violations of the Community Standards outlined in the University Policy Handbook. The position involves regular meetings with students, maintaining conduct files and databases, tracking sanctions, and preparing conduct reports. Additionally, the coordinator will assist in teaching and developing educational offerings, collaborate with Residence Life staff, and act as a liaison to Public Safety and other departments. The role may also involve overseeing student workers.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year directly related work experience, preferably in a higher education.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Familiar with or able to quickly learn University computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary community standards coordinator in the Community Standards Process for potential violations of the Community Standards in the University Policy Handbook.
  • Regularly meet with students as part of the Community Standards Process.
  • Maintain conduct files and database(es) on all cases, track sanctions and follow-up action, and prepare conduct reports.
  • Assist in teaching and/or developing various classes through educational offerings.
  • Collaborate with Residence Life staff and serve as a liaison to Public Safety and other departments as needed.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
