This rewarding and vital position provides a broad range of services to unincorporated Pierce County. Community Service Officers provide information to the public in order to assist them in problem resolution and to direct them to the appropriate Sheriff's Office and/or other resources, and to assist with public safety or enforcement activities such as abandoned vehicle and hulk removal. Community Service Officers work either 5/8’s at the South Hill Precinct or 4/10’s at the Parkland-Spanaway Precinct depending on assignment. Shifts are Monday - Friday, primarily day shift with swing shifts, if necessary. This is not a remote or hybrid position as employees are expected to work at their assigned precinct.
