About The Position

The Community Resource Representative is responsible for serving neighbors while helping the department achieve poundage goals through highly efficient processes. This role is responsible for greeting, training, and supervising volunteers while maintaining the safety of the food supply chain and other compliance initiatives. The role adheres to PACT values (Purpose, Accountability, Courage, Transparency). Essential job functions include providing exceptional service to neighbors, overseeing program and partner operations in the Community Resource Center for compliance, ensuring the pantry is stocked, clean, and prepared for daily operations, including inventory best practices and product rotation. The representative also assists with compiling monthly metrics and preparing regular reports on pantry activities. They ensure educational resources and community materials are accessible, maintain cleanliness and safety in storage areas, ensure equipment is maintained, and greet, train, and supervise volunteers as needed. Additionally, they assist with efficiency projects, communicate effectively as part of the Equitable Access team, support other team members, attend relevant meetings, adhere to deadlines, and contribute to organizational, departmental, and team objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma from an accredited school or general education development (GED) certificate
  • 2 + years of customer service experience
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including the public
  • Knowledge of database reporting
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional service to neighbors assisting in a respectful and compassionate manner.
  • Oversees program and partner operations in the Community Resource Center ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Ensures the pantry remains stocked and prepared for daily operations, including rotating products and keeping the community resource center areas clean.
  • Maintains inventory best practices in recording incoming/outgoing items and rotating products to minimize waste.
  • Assists with compiling monthly metrics.
  • Prepares regular reports on pantry activities.
  • Ensures educational resources and community resource materials are consistently incorporated throughout the pantry and are easily accessed by the community.
  • Maintains all Community Resource Center and warehouse assigned storage areas clean and safe following sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensures equipment is maintained.
  • Greets, trains, and supervises volunteers, as needed.
  • Assists with projects geared directly to the Community Resource Centers’ efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively while leading and contributing as a productive member of the Equitable Access team.
  • Provides support to other team members with relevant tasks and contributes to problem resolution on different projects.
  • Attends relevant meetings, adheres to deadlines, and participates as a vital member to collectively advance organizational, departmental, and team-level objectives.
