About The Position

Develops, implements, and administers community/public affairs and typical social responsibility programs for company. Makes recommendations regarding corporate donations. Responds to employee and client inquiries regarding community involvement. Coordinates participation in community and charitable activities, philanthropy projects, and organizations. Serves as company representative in interactions with not-for-profit organizations. Represents company at public functions related to charitable or community-based activities. May interact with local government.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of K-12 outreach initiatives aligned with workforce development goals
  • Manage talent pipeline programs including work-based learning experiences, professional development opportunities for educators, etc.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with K-12 school districts, career and technical (CTE) leaders, counselors and administrators
  • Serve as primary liaison between the company and education/community partners
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Apprentice School, Trades Business Office, etc.) to align outreach with hiring needs
  • Support the development of early talent strategies to attract, engage and retain future workforce talent
