About The Position

The Hanover Township Office of Community Affairs is seeking a FALL INTERN. Individuals will build their resume while gaining first-hand knowledge of Township government operations. This non-exempt position is scheduled for 15-24 hours per week, including some nights and weekends, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Political Science or a related field
  • Strong in writing
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently or in a team setting

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Canva
  • Understanding of Mailchimp
  • Understanding of Adobe software
  • Understanding of social media channels

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of digital and print promotional content
  • Assist in planning Township events
  • Represent the Township at community events
  • Draft weekly e-newsletters
  • Conduct light research and writing for officials and staff
  • Perform duties as assigned by staff
