The Community Relations and Program Improvement Specialist will be part of the Education Division and responsible for contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Family Enrichment Center (FEC). This role involves developing and maintaining a parent or advisory group, cultivating relationships with community groups and stakeholders, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the FEC, and building a network of resources. The specialist will focus on building connections with a warm and engaging communication style to enhance family protective factors. Specific duties include representing the FEC at community events, building partnerships, developing outreach materials, connecting families to resources, and utilizing community organizing and advocacy skills. The role also involves co-managing website/social media, planning outreach events, training staff and interns, identifying community leaders, engaging members in goal-oriented strategies, serving as a liaison, and attending community meetings. The specialist will also promote youth and family participation, supervise interns/volunteers, and collaborate on program evaluation. In Quality Assurance and Improvement, the specialist will work with staff and stakeholders to develop feedback systems, performance measurement, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. This includes establishing an engagement system, designing reports, and participating in learning collaboratives. Other related duties may be assigned.
