The Arc Erie County is looking for a Community Program Manager to oversee the direct care staff working in Community Support Services. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a closely related developmental disabilities field PLUS one year of experience working with people with disabilities
Associate degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a closely related developmental disabilities field PLUS three years of experience working with people with disabilities
High School or equivalent diploma PLUS five years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
Good communication skills – both oral and written.
Ability to supervise activities of staff members and program participants is required.
Must have manual dexterity, visual acuity in normal range, and the ability to work alone and with others.
A valid New York State Driver’s License and approved driving record.

Responsibilities

Providing direct supervision to the direct care staff providing services.
Oversight of the delivery of these services and support.
Oversees direct care services to people we support in areas such as, but not limited to activities of daily living, self-care skills, travel training, money management, community integration and connections, cooking and cleaning skills.
Coordinates interviews and is responsible for hiring, orientation, scheduling and ongoing development of direct care staff, including annual evaluations.
Maintains interactions with people we support, their families, other collaterals and the community-at-large as appropriate.
