About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is hiring a Community Pharmacist for an established community pharmacy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role supports safe and accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and day-to-day pharmacy operations. It is a six-month temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent position. The schedule is expected to remain consistent during the temporary assignment, with hours potentially varying after conversion to a permanent role. The listed schedule is Sunday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM; Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; and Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin pharmacist license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Experience with pharmacy data-entry systems.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and accurately dispense new and refill prescriptions.
- Perform final verification of prepared medications to support safe and effective therapy.
- Counsel patients and communicate with healthcare providers regarding prescription questions.
- Oversee pharmacy workflow and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with pharmacy regulations, safety practices, and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Support quality assurance and provide attentive customer service.
