About The Position

The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (RAHF) is seeking a relationship-focused, organized, and community-minded fundraising professional to join our team as Community Partnerships Officer. Reporting to the Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Community Partnerships Officer is responsible for building, managing, and supporting community-driven fundraising initiatives that advance the Foundation's mission. This role leads third-party fundraising initiatives, manages relationships with community partners and event organizers, and supports auction procurement activities that contribute to philanthropic revenue. Working closely with colleagues across the Foundation, the Community Partnerships Officer helps deliver exceptional experiences for community supporters while fostering long-term engagement and sustainable fundraising success. Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Event Management, Communications, Fundraising, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in community fundraising, donor relations, event management, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with external stakeholders, volunteers, community organizations, or donors.
  • Strong relationship management, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and event coordination abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including confidence presenting to groups and speaking publicly.
  • Ability to manage multiple events, relationships, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database management systems.
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting third-party fundraising events and community-based fundraising initiatives.
  • Experience procuring auction items, in-kind donations, or sponsorship support.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising CRM platforms.
  • Experience working within the nonprofit, healthcare, or community sector.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned third-party fundraising events and community-led initiatives.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support individuals, community groups, and organizations hosting independent fundraising events on behalf of the Foundation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, volunteers, and event organizers to encourage long-term engagement and repeat participation.
  • Provide guidance, tools, and fundraising resources to ensure community events align with Foundation policies, brand standards, and fundraising best practices.
  • Collaborate with Fund Development Officers and Directors to support community fundraising initiatives that align with broader Foundation campaigns and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor fundraising initiatives and provide proactive support to maximize participation, donor engagement, and fundraising results.
  • Identify opportunities to engage community organizations, local businesses, and grassroots supporters in Foundation initiatives.
  • Represent the Foundation at community events, fundraising activities, and partner meetings.
  • Deliver presentations and speak publicly to promote the Foundation's mission, fundraising opportunities, and community engagement.
  • Ensure timely recognition, stewardship, and ongoing communication with community partners, donors, and event organizers.
  • Lead the procurement of in-kind donations and auction items from local businesses, community organizations, and corporate partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors to secure high-quality auction items and experiences.
  • Coordinate auction logistics, including item intake, tracking, documentation, valuation, and presentation.
  • Partner with the Events team to support successful auction execution and maximize fundraising revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records of auction inventory and donor contributions.
  • Maintain accurate records of community fundraising activities, donor interactions, auction procurement, and revenue within the Foundation's CRM system.
  • Track fundraising performance and community engagement activities to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Ensure event documentation, donor records, and fundraising data are accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational policies.
  • Prepare reports on community fundraising outcomes, engagement metrics, and partnership activities.
