About The Position

The community outreach RN position is responsible for developing and coordinating community education and outreach for Portage Medical Center. This is a part time position, based off of working 24 hours per week. This is a hybrid role.

Requirements

• 5+ years management experience or 5+ years Clinical / RN experience
• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent verbal and writing skills
• Self-starter able to envision goals and actively accomplish them
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Skillful at working with all levels of personnel.
• Experience with organizing and planning events.
• Computer skills (WP, Database, spreadsheet).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in marketing and budgeting
• Experience working with elderly and knowledge of community resources
• Experience with occupational health
• Skilled in facilitating group presentations and education sessions

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in a courteous and efficient manner, maintains positive relationships with all contacts and co-workers.
• Coordinates/facilitates community outreach & education programs
• Develops community outreach initiatives to promote key service, to increase awareness and preference of entity as destination for the key services.
• Provides clinical expertise for Marketing & Communication strategies
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
