About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Clubhouse Operations, The Community Outreach Manager is responsible for leading organization-wide strategies focused on youth membership growth, community outreach, and family engagement for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV). This role develops and implements innovative recruitment initiatives designed to increase awareness of BGCSNV programs and services while cultivating relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and families. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, data-informed, results-driven, and passionate about connecting youth and families to high-quality opportunities that support academic success, healthy lifestyles, workforce development, and leadership development. This position combines strategic recruitment planning, outreach, customer service, staff training, and community partnership development to strengthen BGCSNV’s overall membership pipeline and retention efforts.

Requirements

  • Three years of successful related sales, membership recruitment experience and/or community outreach experience which includes attainment of goals.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time, meet deadlines, and handle multiple demands.
  • Strong communication skills in both individual and group settings including outstanding presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with professional staff, youth, families, the public, vendors and other partners.
  • Able to work occasional irregular or extended hours
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.)
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Use of personal vehicle will be required with reimbursement for mileage at standard IRS rates.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, social science, social work, or similar field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working in programs with a Boys & Girls Club or similar, out-of-school time organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with recruitment marketing strategies/campaigns.
  • Experience in business social media usage and analytics, and advertising/media development (audio/video/print).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive recruitment plans to increase membership across BGCSNV Clubhouses and school sites.
  • Identify and cultivate new recruitment opportunities through schools, community events, businesses, housing communities, service providers, and local organizations.
  • Conduct presentations, outreach visits, information sessions, tabling events, and community engagement activities to increase awareness of BGCSNV programming.
  • Utilize phone calls, emails, text messaging, social media, and in-person outreach to engage prospective families and youth.
  • Collaborate with families to assist with membership registration, financial assistance applications, and enrollment processes.
  • Track recruitment leads, outreach efforts, membership trends, and retention data while preparing regular reports on outcomes and goals.
  • Develop strategies focused on recapturing inactive members and increasing consistent attendance.
  • Increase Average Daily Attendance, annual organizational membership, and deliver data-driven results to support growth outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with school administrators, counselors, educators, community leaders, nonprofit partners, and local businesses to support recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain a database of recruitment contacts, school partners, and outreach opportunities.
  • Represent BGCSNV at community events, fairs, orientations, family nights, and other public engagement opportunities.
  • Promote BGCSNV as a premier youth-serving organization through professional communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and facilitate training for Club staff on recruitment, community outreach, family engagement, customer service, and retention best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for Club leaders regarding effective recruitment and enrollment strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Programs, Development, and School Site teams to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
  • Support organization-wide initiatives, events, and campaigns as assigned.
  • May be required to assist with BGCSNV special events.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
