Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Enrollment Services, the Community Outreach and Admissions Counselor will plan and carry out recruitment and yield activities, including on and off-campus, focused primarily on the adult-learner population. In this position, you will liaise with community partners, the HCC Division of Workforce and Community Education, participate in direct recruitment activities, and serve as a member of the Enrollment Services team to meet strategic recruitment, outreach, and enrollment goals. To achieve the successful performance of adult and non-traditional student recruitment and enrollment, you will build strong working relationships with both credit and non-credit staff, administrators, and faculty. You will leverage that connected network to identify, capture, collate and prioritize prospective student data for recruitment. You will work directly with prospective students, families, influencers, and campus stakeholders to ensure the achievement of specific recruitment goals. You will collaborate across the College to support the college’s equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. You will be responsible for promoting an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students, employees, and our local community, one in which every individual feels respected and valued. Develops and implements a plan of strategic student recruitment activities to include outreach to non-traditional students, adult students with some college and no degree, stop-out students, and career changers. Promotes the admission processes for all of the College’s academic programs - assists in the development and implementation of all recruitment programs and events both on and off campus. Advises prospective students and families on educational opportunities, academic program offerings and enrollment procedures. Represents the College at college fairs, career fairs, employer and community agency visits and other off campus recruitment activities as needed. Utilizes the Banner student information system, CRM system and EAB Navigate360 to track and communicate with prospective students and applicants. Uses prospective student lists generated from numerous sources, prioritize and conduct high yield recruitment activities. Collaborates with academic and student support areas such as the Marieb Adult Learner Success Center, El Centro, Transition to College & Careers, JumpStart and other programs supporting non-traditional learners to facilitate admissions and enrollment activities. Partners with the Division of Workforce and Community Education to promote training opportunities and actively support students’ access to programs leading to credential attainment. Performs administrative tasks in support of department activities, including helping to compile admissions information, generating data and reports, creating correspondences, and contributing to assessment activities. Periodically works evenings and weekends to participate in college enrollment activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
