As an Admissions & Outreach Counselor, you’ll connect with prospective students, guide them through the enrollment journey, and serve as a trusted resource as they explore opportunities through St. Louis Job Corps.

Requirements

A passion for helping young people succeed and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a supportive and approachable style
A bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, education, communications, or a related field—or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

Experience in outreach, admissions, recruiting, or youth development programs (2+ years preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued and a big plus

Responsibilities

Build relationships with prospective students and guide them through every step of the enrollment process
Use creative outreach strategies—from community partnerships to alumni networks—to connect with and inspire future students
Meet with applicants, learn their goals, and help them determine if the program is the right fit
Support students and their families by answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing encouragement along the way
Lead or assist with center tours, giving candidates a firsthand look at the opportunities available
Represent the program at community events, schools, and local organizations to raise awareness and build strong connections
