About The Position
This position will be responsible for coordinating community-based prevention efforts throughout the PCS catchment areas, with a focus on strengthening and growing established coalitions, increasing community engagement, and supporting long-term coalition development and sustainability. This position will work closely with community partners and PCS staff to plan, implement, promote, and evaluate initiatives designed to reduce substance use and problem gaming/gambling while strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors based on the unique needs of each community.
Requirements
- Reliable ability to transport self to meetings, trainings, and job sites
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional evening meetings, community events, and other activities outside of regular business hours
- Required occasional travel for conferences and training
- Knowledge of prevention strategies and community-based planning, including the Strategic Prevention Framework
- Understanding of coalition development and community engagement
- Willingness to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process
