Community Organizer
About The Position
Clean Water Action is hiring grassroots organizers to join its phone canvass team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Organizers will build on recent electoral momentum and work to pass laws protecting drinking water and communities. Current campaigns include safeguarding communities from AI data centers, banning PFAS from household products, and uplifting environmental justice communities. This is an in-person, part-time position scheduled for three to five weekdays, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Compensation is $18 per hour, with bonus opportunities. Relocation assistance is not provided. The organization offers hands-on training and describes opportunities for travel and potential long-term growth.

Responsibilities
- Communicate one-on-one with members through grassroots organizing.
- Collect calls to action addressed to lawmakers, such as petitions and phone calls.
- Fundraise.
- Disperse information about campaign issues.
- Maintain accurate records.
