CBI Health's Community Rehabilitation Services team works across Ontario, treating clients with mental stress injuries and those affected by motor vehicle accidents, with the goal of returning them to their pre-accident function. The Traumatic Psychological Injury program allows Occupational Therapists to work with clients like first responders, conducting in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and facilitating trauma processing, coping, and return to function, utilizing innovative interventions like virtual reality. The Complex Auto program involves assessing and treating clients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents, including in-home and hospital discharge assessments, concussion treatment, and cognitive rehabilitation, offering 'start to finish care'. OTs can choose to focus on one area or manage a mixed caseload.
