About The Position

CBI Health is Canada's leading community healthcare provider with a national interdisciplinary network of over 2,500 healthcare staff and professionals. They focus on innovating services to provide better recovery and support for clients by putting clients first and working collaboratively to address all aspects of their lives, aiming for data-driven solutions and improved health outcomes. CBI Health's Community Rehabilitation Services team works across Ontario, treating clients with mental stress injuries and those affected by motor vehicle accidents, with the goal of returning them to their pre-accident function. The Traumatic Psychological Injury program allows Occupational Therapists to work with clients like first responders, conducting in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and facilitating trauma processing, coping, and return to function, utilizing innovative interventions like virtual reality. The Complex Auto program involves assessing and treating clients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents, including in-home and hospital discharge assessments, concussion treatment, and cognitive rehabilitation, offering 'start to finish care'. OTs can choose to focus on one area or manage a mixed caseload.

Requirements

Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (travel up to 1-1.5 hours radius)
Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in a variety of settings, including client’s homes, workplaces, and/or in the community
Passion about your profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excelled client care
The ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment
Strong organizational skills
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Empathy and an effective ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Experience in the private sector, particularly auto sector legislation and mental health, is an asset

Conduct in-vivo exposure therapy and behavioral activation.
