The position also focuses on planning health promotion and chronic disease prevention programs, collaborating on program goals, and monitoring program effectiveness. Adherence to HIPAA and privacy regulations is required. The role involves developing and coordinating various classes and activities related to exercise, nutrition, gardening, food safety, and culinary skills, with an emphasis on evidence-based information. The educator will also manage accountability systems for equipment and supplies, foster partnerships, monitor relevant health issues, and tailor messages to customer needs. Serving as a role model for health and wellness activities, providing evidence-based teachings, and overseeing program evaluation are key aspects. Professional development through participation in organizations, workshops, and seminars is encouraged, along with continuous improvement of communication and interpersonal skills. Support for other health programs through events like health screenings and fairs is also part of the role. Performs other duties as assigned.
