About The Position

Elandis, recognized as a Best Place to Work in Multi-family for 2025 & 2026, is seeking an experienced Community Manager. This role, reporting to the Regional Manager, involves conducting all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations. The Community Manager is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and overseeing all aspects of apartment community operations, including supervising on-site staff and managing contractor/vendor work. This position holds full accountability for all community operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of previous experience in residential property management.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Family Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency in multiple PC software packages, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with the Internet & Windows.
  • Excellent organizational, written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated effective conflict resolution and customer service skills for interactions with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week, including evenings, nights, and weekends for staffing needs and emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations, including understanding financial goals, maintaining accurate records, assisting with budgets, managing collections, and processing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Drive marketing and leasing efforts to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy goals, monitor market conditions, implement marketing strategies, ensure effective leasing techniques, and manage applicant screening.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as auditing lease documents, maintaining lease files, documenting resident interactions, ensuring office opening and condition, attending corporate meetings, and submitting required reports.
  • Manage maintenance operations by inspecting the community, understanding system repairs, updating availability, and coordinating apartment turnovers.
  • Foster positive resident relations through excellent customer service, timely resolution of concerns, implementing retention programs, distributing notices, and managing lease renewals and move-out analyses.
  • Perform personnel management duties, including screening, hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff, administering performance improvement plans, and fostering teamwork.
  • Ensure safety compliance with all company and legal regulations, correct unsafe conditions, promote a safety-first principle, lead emergency response, and report all liability events.
  • Serve as a liaison with local community, government, and public safety officials under the guidance of the Regional Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or senior management.
