About The Position

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Territory Manager to join their team. This field-based role will be responsible for growing sales of innovative insulin pump therapy to patients and providers in South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The Territory Manager will work with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist to meet or exceed sales goals through strategic business planning and customer identification. The mission is to grow the territory, build strong relationships, and help people living with diabetes thrive. This role requires a strong understanding of sales methodologies and the ability to represent Tandem at events and maintain accurate CRM tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of industry sales experience, preferably in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% within your territory
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth by creating and executing smart territory plans.
  • Spot opportunities, open doors, and build lasting partnerships with healthcare professionals (MDs, DOs, RNs, CDEs, RPhs, etc.) to create value.
  • Leverage advanced sales methodologies—including the Challenger Selling Model and Strategic Account Management—along with strong communication and collaboration skills to demonstrate value and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Deliver product education and ongoing support to providers, patients, and clinical educators.
  • Represent Tandem at events, conventions, and community outreach.
  • Keep your territory organized with accurate CRM tracking and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth sales and customer experiences.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
