About The Position

1515 Surf Apartments (LCOR) is seeking a Community Manager to join their team at a 463-unit mixed-use high-rise community in Brooklyn, New York. The role involves all aspects of apartment operations, including general administration, property maintenance, and the direction and control of personnel and resources. The Community Manager is responsible for ensuring the property is maintained in good physical condition, operates with fiscal stability, and that all employees understand company policies, safety guidelines, fair housing laws, and liability concerns.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Community Management
  • Experience with MS Office/Word/Excel and Yardi
  • A track record of building, developing & retaining high performance teams
  • A track record of building & maintaining strong relationships with residents, ownership groups, and vendors
  • Strong financial skills and experience creating / managing a budget
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Minimum of three to five years Community Manager experience required, high-rise luxury and lease up experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 421a Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the community.
  • Create, maintain, and encourage excellent resident relations by all members of the team.
  • Manage the maintenance of the community with the assistance of the maintenance team.
  • Maintain and manage all financial responsibilities for the community.
  • Manage and monitor all rental collection for the community.
  • Responsible for all personnel issues on the community.
  • Responsible for all safety on the community.
  • Manage, create, and monitor all aspects of marketing for the community.
  • Responsible for vendor contract administration.
  • Manage Revenue Management/Pricing at the property.
  • Manage property renovations with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ability to work weekends and after hours as necessary due to emergency or business need.
