About The Position

Monroe Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to provide management support to their affordable PBS8 community. The ideal candidate will have experience in Affordable Housing Apartment Management, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a professional demeanor. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and motivational skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and property management software is essential, along with a passion for customer service. Assistant Community Managers are mentored for growth within the company and are prepared to oversee operations in the manager's absence. They are responsible for supporting day-to-day property operations, enhancing property value, and ensuring team success.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year as a leasing or administrative assistant
  • Working Knowledge of Onsite or Yardi Software
  • English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
  • The ability to pass a full background check
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Community Manager, complete the lease packet, calculate rent, and prepare all documents in accordance with Monroe policy and procedures
  • Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists
  • Responsible for rent collection and preparing lease enforcement notices
  • Assist with ordering supplies, processing invoices, and tracking maintenance schedules
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
