About The Position

Barvin is hiring a Community Manager to lead Vance at Bishop Union, a mixed-use community that combines residential living with a vibrant retail environment. This role is responsible for delivering strong operational performance, leasing success, resident satisfaction, team development, and financial results while helping create a seamless experience across the community. This role is about more than managing a property. It is about leading a high-performing community that delivers exceptional service, strong occupancy, and a positive living experience for residents. You'll lead a technology-enabled operation that combines high-touch customer service with modern leasing, automation, and AI-driven tools to create a seamless experience for both prospects and residents. As the leader of the community, you will coach and develop your team, support leasing efforts, drive operational performance, and ensure the community consistently delivers Barvin's standards for service and execution. You will also help support the unique dynamics of a mixed-use environment by partnering with internal stakeholders and maintaining strong communication around initiatives that impact both residential and retail spaces. The ideal candidate understands how daily operations influence occupancy, resident satisfaction, reputation, team culture, and financial performance. You will play a key role in building a strong team, improving results, and creating an exceptional community experience.

Requirements

5+ years of multifamily property management leadership with retail/mixed use experience
Proven ability to drive occupancy, revenue growth, resident retention, and operational performance
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Experience managing budgets, collections, delinquency, and financial performance
Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and multifamily operational best practices
Experience with property management systems, CRM platforms, and leasing technology
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with regional and corporate leadership

Responsibilities

Address resident concerns proactively and professionally.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the community and support resident events.
Support a cohesive experience across residential, retail, and shared common areas.
Assist with grand openings, seasonal events, and community activations.
Collaborate with ownership, asset management, and marketing teams to support the overall success of the mixed-use environment.
Communicate with retail tenants regarding community projects, maintenance activities, and property initiatives that may impact operations.
Utilize leasing technology, automation, AI tools, and reporting platforms to improve performance and customer experience.
Support the adoption of new processes and technologies across the onsite team.
