About The Position

The Property Manager, also known as a Client Happiness Hero & Master of Multitasking, is responsible for assisting customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through advertising/marketing opportunities. This role enhances sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies, while providing excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions. The Property Manager guides new customers through rental processes, resolves issues professionally and positively, and maintains the daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units. They also keep well-organized records, perform minor maintenance tasks, and conduct regular property inspections. Additionally, the role involves shopping local competitors, reporting gathered information to supervisors, performing marketing functions, monitoring rates and revenue-related factors, and handling daily administrative tasks such as cash handling, balancing receipts, collections, posting payments, processing bank deposits, and completing auctions. At participating locations, they may also assist tenants with rental truck services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • At least one year of experience in property management experience preferred
  • A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.
  • For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales or retail environment preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities
  • Enhance sales through rentals, insurance and moving supplies

  • Shop local competitors in-person and online
  • Report information gathered, including rates and specials, to supervisors and other departments
  • Perform additional marketing functions as needed
  • Monitors rates, specials, and revenue-related factors
  • Perform required daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits and completing auctions according to policy and laws
  • If at a participating location, assist tenants with completing, processing and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services.
