About The Position
Monroe Group is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to manage a large Family affordable Project Based Section 8 (PBS8) community. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring and developing their team, has the personality to positively interact with applicants, residents and teammates, enjoys leading teams, likes to work hard while having fun, and is a strong problem-solver. This role requires experience in working at a large Family Affordable Housing Apartment complex and sharing the company's mission, vision, and values. The Community Manager is a dynamic leader, possessing the ability to motivate and lead teams, and is fully competent with all phases of financial and variance reporting. A strong background in PBS8, marketing savvy, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Property Management-related software are essential. The role involves serving residents, supporting the team, and driving positive, consistent results.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years as Community Manager
- Working Knowledge of OneSite or Yardi Software
- English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
- The ability to pass a full background check
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle is required
Nice To Haves
- College Degree is preferred
- Strong experience in affordable housing programs
- Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections
- Experience with resident-occupied project renovations
Responsibilities
- Providing overall supervision of the community
- Overseeing and enhancing the value of the property
- Ensuring the property team is positive and successful
- Leading and mentoring a dynamic team
- Developing and managing the budget
- Ensuring property is meeting KPI Goals for Occupancy, Collections, Compliance, Asset and Budget Management
- Submitting necessary weekly/monthly reporting
- Ensuring that site teams deliver Safe, Decent and Sanitary Housing to all our residents
- Performs all other duties as assigned
