About The Position

Fairmont Management Inc. is seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Community Manager to lead operations at a large, 251-unit garden-style apartment community in West Covina. This role requires a leader who can successfully manage daily operations while helping guide the property through an exciting transformation, including a major courtyard renovation and apartment interior renovations. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, proactive, organized, and capable of balancing operational excellence with team leadership and resident satisfaction. Requirements

  • Previous Community Manager experience required with at least 5 years in conventional multifamily housing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities
  • Experience managing large apartment communities (200+ units) preferred
  • Knowledge of leasing, operations, budgeting, and resident relations
  • Strong understanding of market trends and property performance
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
  • Weekend availability as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the onsite management and maintenance teams
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability
  • Conduct daily team meetings and establish operational priorities
  • Ensure the property operates efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain strong curb appeal and community presentation standards
  • Coordinate vendor services, projects, and renovation activities
  • Drive leasing performance and occupancy goals
  • Monitor market conditions and competitive communities
  • Oversee leasing strategy, pricing, renewals, and resident retention
  • Manage rent collections, delinquency, and notices
  • Operate within budget guidelines and monitor property expenses
  • Approve invoices, vendor contracts, and payroll reporting
  • Build positive relationships with residents and vendors
  • Resolve resident concerns professionally and proactively
  • Support resident retention through excellent service and communication
  • Coordinate resident events and community engagement initiatives
  • Ensure service requests are completed promptly and satisfactorily
  • Maintain accurate resident files and property records
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies
  • Utilize property management software efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct regular property inspections and safety oversight
  • Support ongoing training and development of onsite staff
