We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Community Manager to lead the continued stabilization of a brand-new BTR community. As the Community Manager, you will play a critical role in bringing this new community to life. You will lead the onsite team, establish effective operational processes, drive leasing and occupancy goals, and ensure the property is positioned for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Community Manager, Property Manager, or similar multifamily leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience with new construction lease-ups strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing onsite team.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily operations, leasing, resident relations, budgeting, and property performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CAM, ARM, or CPM are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the onsite property management and leasing team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused culture.
  • Oversee all day-to-day community operations while establishing efficient procedures and best practices for a new property.
  • Manage the lease-up strategy in partnership with ownership and leadership, ensuring occupancy and revenue objectives are achieved.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional performance and resident service.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for customer service, property presentation, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.
  • Oversee leasing activity, prospect follow-up, traffic conversion, applications, move-ins, renewals, and resident retention.
  • Monitor property performance, budgets, expenses, and financial results while identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Partner closely with construction, maintenance, marketing, and corporate teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to stabilized operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Respond effectively to resident concerns and operational challenges while maintaining a professional and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Prepare and communicate regular operational, leasing, and financial performance reports to leadership.
